Filming techniques
Living in the social media era, I think everyone on some level is trying to boost their exposure on the internet. Whether that exposure is through YouTube, FaceBook, Instagram, or what have you. I came across this video about tips for getting seen on Instagram.
To be fair I am NOT looking to cheat the system to make the money or get the views. The algorithm on the other hand is not really built to work in our aka the users' favor. Even the video says that
Instagram wants their users to engage more with the content because the more time you spend on Instagram the less time you spend on ticktock.
It may be a platform 'for' us but there are still rules or an algorithm that if we play towards; our content has a higher chance of being seen. Since being seen is what we're all to some degree going for I'm playing with some of the tips this video gives.
- Carousel
- Video
Let's try this.
Here is my first attempt to tell a story through photos to create a carousel story. I feel like I've done this in the past but, now it's a more conscious effort.
These next two are my first attempt at the video aspect of posting. A mixture to keep rabbits and deer away.
This next video is a quick attempt at a more "exciting" view of my garden. I've selected an awesome location for my plants and now my garden is getting much more sun! Of course, as soon as my plants started doing better, the local wildlife got hungry. So now I'm trying a DIY rabbit and deer deterrent made of cayenne and garlic to
hopefully, give my plants a fighting chance.
This random video is an experiment in filming techniques from another video I've watched I am SUPER happy with how cool it looks though. I just had to show off a camera tripod I got on FaceBook marketplace.
