Under Exposure

Watching some YouTube videos over the past couple days I noticed that both photographers I follow do. They take photos that are darker or underexposed so that they can bring up the light later when they are editing.

Let's try this.
My first attempt was not great. I did not underexpose enough.

In all of these you can't really see a difference. I was trying this on my phone so I couldn't tell how underexposed I was. Next time I think I need to use a camera that tells me my exposure.

Next I started playing with some cinematography and wouldn't you know it as soon as I'm just playing my pictures come out pretty stinking good.
Here's a quick slow mo video I took.

This is one of the pictures that I took after that video. It's so irritating that all the photos I take are ok, until I just randomly take one.
